Assyrian Covert Diving Apparatus

A reconstruction of the "Assyrian Bladder", an invention which could be said to prefigure the sophisticated modern "Rebreather". According to the original documents this early diving apparatus would have been fashioned from animal skins, stitched and sealed with a honey / beeswax compound, and was typically used in covert underwater operations. However the experiment suggests that in fact these inflatable bags were more likely to have been used for crossing rivers.
