Helepolis Armour Experiment

The Helepolis was a vast seige tower used by the Greeks. Ancient texts describe how a form of armour cladding would have been used to render the tower impervious to fire-based attacks. This was a contemporary experiment, conducted using reconstruction naptha incendiaries of the period, to determine how effective that armour might have been in practice.
