Xuan Feng Chinese Trebuchet

This type of trebuchet was originally constructed in a whole range of different sizes - the present version would have been the smallest at 12", whilst records recount that eighty to one hundred men were required to pull some of the largest versions. A light-weight, versatile projectile system with an arm constructed from bamboo rods, this traction device would have been deployed on Chinese vessels, launching weights and incendiaries against enemy ships with considerable accuracy.
